Season 2 with 1d Mark IV

A little over a year ago, we wrapped the first TV-series in the world shooting only on DSLRs (read more about it here and here ). A lot of research went into how to make these cameras work in a feature production pipeline. In the end, we were really happy with the results, and the audience loved it. So much so that we were nominated for 8 Gullruten (Norways Emmy), and both Anders and Tuva won. Now, DoP Pål Bugge Haagenrud and myself are shooting the second season. Shooting wrapped!

DoP Pål Bugge Haagenrud operating the A-cam As we wrapped 60 days of principal photography on the worlds first DSLR only drama shoot last friday, it has become clear (if you look at my webtraffic) that we have caused quite a stirr in the industry. TVBEurope picked up the story through this blog, and Eirik Helland Urke also did a nice piece on our production just before we wrapped. The two cameras never faulted once, through rain, snow, cold and heat. We did get one, one out of several thousands, corrupt file on the a-cam, put it was probably related to power down whilst recording.…

Shooting is going ahead as planned in Oslo. Its quite an experience, not only because we are shooting on DSLRs, but its also the most crazy script ever done in Norway, I believe.
