The Canon 1DC and Kinotehnik EVF

I was recently lucky enough to be able to shoot with Canons number one DSLR, the 1dc. Canon Norway lent me their beast for a shoot in Ecuador, where we were to shoot short commercials for a TBA project (secret, will post when ready :). When the 1dc was announced last year, it was the first camera, DSLR and non-DSLR, to offer a viable 4k onboard recording solution for documentarist and run&gun shooters. Quick test: Sigma 18-35 f1.8

Brand new lens getting a taste of the Norwegian weather I recently got a chance to play with the yet-to-be-released Sigma 18-35 f1.8. Stein Erik at Fotovideo.no called me up and told me that he had one sample unit for testing purposes. This is not even an actual selling unit, its pre-production. But judging by the quality we saw during tests on set, its ready for "add to cart" allready. When it comes to new gear, I usually just throw it right into production. Paralinx Arrow, the quest for a wireless set

Ever since shooting the first season of "Dag" (comedy-drama tv-show, now in its third season) I`ve been looking for a solution to get rid of the BNC cable. Its always getting tangeled and getting stuck somewhere. Its really not that reliable (they easily "break"), and they can even damage the camera, when people trip the cable.
